Howdy! I'm Sasha. ✨
I'm a creative technologist, movement artist, and maker, interested in crafting interactive experiences and spaces that invite human connection and instill a sense of wonder.
Growing up, my favorite classes were always math and science, but outside the classroom, my world was the dance studio and the stage – ballet, jazz, hip hop, belly dance, musical theatre... you name it! When it came time for college, I continued along the performing arts path, until a hunger for problem-solving pulled me toward Computer Science instead. My journey there was long and winding, but eventually, I found my way.
After some years working as a full-stack software engineer, a familiar hunger returned, but this time for creative expression. I recalled a creative technology student showcase I'd attended, where the projects pushed programming beyond the boundaries of traditional software engineering. They weren't just technically impressive – they were personal, playful, and alive.
That memory prompted me to enroll in CU Boulder's ATLAS Institute, where I completed an M.S. in Creative Technology and Design. There, I developed interactive projects that invited me to bring my whole self into the work, leveraging my technical skills, deep kinesthetic knowledge, and love for handicraft.
I have so much yet to learn, but I'm eager to keep making and collaborating on interactive experiences where the analytical and artistic bring out the best in each other, and as a result, bring a little more magic into our lives.
In my free time, you can find me hiking with my dog, making beaded trinkets, or baking elaborate birthday cakes for my loved ones. If you'd like to chat or work together, please do say hello!
